Traditionally RFID devices would only support one ISO standard, requiring a different device for each application, but now, the PA 600 HF innovatively supports ISO 15693, ISO14443A and ISO14443B standards in a single device, making it ideal for a range of RFID applications as well as supporting multiple applications in the organisation and across a range of markets.

These include ticket inspection for transportation applications, use of the PA 600 HF by visitors to exhibits and museams to read tags containing information about exhibits, and enhancing patient security by reading RFID cards to verify nurse and patient identity and record the administration of drugs. In the future the PA 600 HF can even enable customs officials to view tourist's fill itinerary held in an RFID tag on an E-passport.

Supporting Oracle Database Lite and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, the PA 600 HF allows end users to synchronise RFID data with exisitng business systems and databases. Support for Wavelink Avalanche enables easier management of wireless devices, decreasing cost and time of deployment.
