COMMUNICATION MODULES

The Gateway module makes the EMS Subnet 16 Network possible. Up to 16 Cobalt family controllers may be connected on ThinNet or ThickNet RS-485 cable into one Gateway, thus reducing the number of physical IP adresses needed to bring those controllers in to an industrial or other network. Both TCP/IP and Industrial
Ethernet standards are supported.

The HUB serves a similiar function to the Gateway, but offers on-board localized control programming for applications that can benefit from closely connected response to RFID tag data and local process inputs for local action. Four Cobalt nodes can be directly connected to the HUB as well as four digital inputs and four digital outputs.
